Workshop: Spoken Word ~ "Voices for Positive Social Change"

Seeking out our interconnections, universal truths and experiences, this spoken word/creative writing & performance workshop will showcase the positive alteration to social change.  Taking time to reflect, write and look at similar topics through different lenses by spotlighting one's own individual life perspective. The workshop sets its goal by  focusing on the feelings and emotions shared by all people in the art of poetry. Participants will learn that all perspectives are needed to expand art in general and should be respected. Positive social change occurs when people respect each other's differences, connect with how we are the same, and understand that our differences are needed to expand our art and our minds in general. Students will write, share, listen, reflect and share some more. A space free of judgement and full of open minds will be created and the essence to the workshop.
